The elevation at Ardiente is approximately 2,000 ft. above sea level.

For Veterans, there is a new Nevada Veteran’s Administration Medical Center 1 1/2 miles from Ardiente. This includes a hospital, outpatient clinic and long term care facility. There is also a 55,000 sq. ft. commissary at Nellis Air Force Base 6 miles to the east.

The community was originally started by Centex Homes in 2005 but was purchased by Shea Homes in 2010 which completed the rest of the community. Ardiente is one of the newer age restricted communities that have been completed over the last decade in the area, Solera at Stallion Mountain being a community. Centex Homes started construction in 2005 and offered eight single-story plans from 1,235 to 2,352 square feet. The largest of these plans had an optional second story loft or bedroom with a total of 2,832 square feet. Homes feature 2 to 4 bedrooms, 2 or 3 bathrooms and an attached 2-car garage.

Shea Homes introduced Green Certified single-family floor plans in 2010 that range from 1,218 to 2,559 square feet. The Shea models have 2 to 4 bedrooms, 2 to 3 bathrooms and an attached 2 to 3 car garages. Shay Homes represents themselves as the first builder in the United States to introduce green, eco-friendly elements as standard, not optional.

Ardiente is beautiful 788 home community loaded with a list of amenities to rival any other 55+ community and at the heart of Ardiente is the 20,000 square-foot Spanish-styled clubhouse, where neighbors become friends. Features include: state-of-the-art fitness center, billiards room, card rooms, game room, business office, fireside reading lounge and a multi-purpose event and meeting facility.  Men and women’s lockers with showers and steam rooms add to the comforts. The clubhouse at Ardiente will make you feel like you’re at a Resort. The clubhouse also features a catering kitchen for community gatherings and private events.

Adjacent to the Ardiente Clubhouse you can enjoy year-round outdoor tennis and pickleball, putting and chipping greens, basketball and bocce too. The residents will also find seven uniquely themed parks and a dog park. All are within a network of pedestrian walking and biking trails with twenty four fitness stations along the way. There are also several outdoor common areas throughout the community’s grounds, including a BBQ area, an event lawn, and an outdoor patio for relaxing with friends during pleasant evenings.

Retirement in Ardiente is a never ending array of fun of activities. Whether you prefer to sun by the pool, play some golf or stay active in the many clubs, there’s something for everyone. A full-time activities director is on hand to help guide you, answer your questions or get you signed up in the tennis club, the walking group, get you in the morning yoga classes or one of the many other activities. Maybe you might enjoy the community talent show when you’re not involved in the gardening or book club. There’s so much going on here in Ardiente. Such as, the many happy hours, movie nights, and holiday parties that make meeting new friends as easy as walking over to the clubhouse during one of these nights.

For the golfers the in the family there are several courses in the area. The closest course is Shadow Creek where Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson went head to head on Thanksgiving Day in 2018 on pay perview TV. It’s pricey, but one of Las Vegas Bests Courses. Aliante Golf Club is very affordable and is a city owned 6,900-yard, par-72 course and available for play by the general public at Aliante a 55+ active adult retirement community. Sunrise Vista Golf Course ( on Nellis AFB ) offers 18 Holes of Championship golf that will test the ability of any golfer. Our practice facility allows golfers to practice on every aspect of their game from the long game to the short game. Also a short 30 minute drive away are the three wonderful courses at the 55+ active adult retirement community Sun City Summerlin. Highland Falls, Palm Valley and the par 60 Eagle Crest Golf Courses.
