Sun City Summerlin features more club houses, gyms, meeting rooms, pools/spas and golf courses than any other active adult community in the Las Vegas Valley.

The Mountain Shadows Clubhouse was the first clubhouse built and offers an indoor spa, exercise room that was remodeled in April 2019 with state of the art equipment and racquetball court. The Mountain Shadows clubhouse has six tennis courts, four shuffleboard courts, an outdoor ¼ mile walking track, and a 9 hole mini golf course where you can play a quick round with your grandchildren or have a picnic there in the picnic area.

The Desert Vista Community Center was the second clubhouse built and is actually two buildings. It is a 44,000 square-foot facility that has a ballroom/stage and it’s where the homeowners meetings are held, as well as the monthly “coffee with the board”. There is an indoor pool and spa, fitness center (remodeled in May 2019 with new workout equipment) and an aerobics studio where classes are held daily. There is also a large room off the entrance where the ping pong club meets regularly, go watch them sometime and you’ll be amazed at how good the members are. Several of the hobby clubs are located here too in the second building, our favorite is the wood working shop. The outdoor pool is ideal for wading in with friends or head on over to the outdoor spa to relax.

The Sun Shadows Clubhouse (the smallest of the 4 clubhouse), has a Olympic-size indoor pool and spa with views of the Palm Valley golf course. The clubhouse has several meeting and multi-purpose rooms for card games, as well as a dance studio and the theater rehearsal room is there too. The Sun Shadows Clubhouse also has four bocce ball courts, so come join the residents on Monday nights for a game or two.

The Pinnacle Clubhouse is home to the 312-seat Starbright Theatre, which offers comic shows, music events, plays and free movie nights. This clubhouse also has several meeting rooms and a music room for the musician in all of us. The 3rd gym is located next to the Clubhouse with tennis courts close by too. Also, there is a softball field located across the parking lot. The remainder of the @80 hobby clubs are located here, so come check them out. Residents also enjoy the clubhouse’s outdoor wading pool and spa with fantastic views of the Las Vegas strip.

Oh, let’s not forget about the three 18-hole golf courses.

First there’s Palm Valley Golf Club which features some very long par 4’s and par 5’s and is located by Mountain Shadows. It features a pretty flat course for those you who prefer that and was Sun City Summerlin first golf course.

Second is Highland Falls Golf Club with spectacular views of the strip and lots of elevation change and is located by the Desert Vista Club House, both Palm Valley and Highland Falls are championship courses. Head to the Tavern at the Falls after your round to enjoy spectacular views of the waterfall and Lake, then have a drink to cool down. By the way, the restaurant features a great breakfast and lunch at a very reasonable cost to residents.

Last but not least is Eagle Crest Golf Course, located next to the Pinnacle Club House, is a very challenging par 60 golf course with some of the best par 60 golf you’ll find in Las Vegas.
