For those who desire a new build home, some neighborhoods in Green Valley Recreation allow buyers to choose a home from the builder of their choice. Because they offer this option (and always have) there are a wide variety of floor plans available from a number of different companies, making it impossible to list them all. Some individual neighborhoods do require homes to be purchased from a specific builder but have changed builders over the years. Generally, condos are two bedrooms, two and half bathrooms and range from 1,503-1,729 Sq. Ft. Attached homes can have anything from one to three bedrooms, one to two and a half baths, with a garage, in the range of 850-2,287 sq. ft. Single family homes have the largest variance of all, and many new build homes allow for individual customization, but are largely one to three bedrooms, one to three bathrooms, and a two to three car garage with square footages of 1,200-2,600 feet.

Green Valley Recreation neighborhoods are the perfect home for active living adults and they will never tire of the endless amenities. Take a swim in the indoor salt water pool at the Canoa Ranch Social Center, or head over to Desert Hills for a sit in the toasty Sauna. Visit the Rose Garden at the East Social Center, then meet up with friends for a game night in the game room at Las Campanas Social Center. When you do want to venture out, Desert Meadows Park is located close by, or explore Historic Canoa Ranch which is eleven minutes to the south and offers a number of onsite tours of the historic buildings and landmarks on site. If the grandkids are in town, consider taking them to the Titan Missile Museum, where they can join a special kid oriented tour of the missile site turned museum and learn all about recent events in American history.

Golf near Green Valley Recreation

The Green Valley area is sure to please all golfers thanks to the eight challenging courses in the immediate area. To the south is Desert Hills Golf Club, which offers a beautifully tree lined 18-hole golf course which is opened to members only. Desert Hills is known for being one of the more affordable golf club memberships in the area, as there is no on-site restaurant to require minimum spending. There is, however, a snack shop where you can grab a quick bite and drink after your round of golf. If you’d rather not invest in a membership, Haven Golf Course is located to the north and offers a respectable 18-hole course available to the public. This course does not have a restaurant, but offers a lounge and snack bar for relaxing after you finish your game. For a more prestigious experience, head a bit further north to Country Club of Green Valley, where players can try their swing on the 6,628 yard, 18-hole course designed by Red Lawrence. This course is known to best even the most skillful players so come prepared to use every golf club you have in your bag! Country Club of Green Valley hosts a typical club experience, meaning onsite formal dining is available, so order a tasty meal and sit back and watch as others attempt to master this deceptively difficult course. And these aren’t the only options! Green Valley is an easy drive from Tucson as well as Phoenix, making it within a few hours drive of over one hundred golf courses—so grab your golfing friends and get ready to play a new course every week!
