CantaMia is located about 3.5 miles south of the town center where all of the main amenities are including the Mountain Ranch Marketplace, which is anchored by Safeway and Elliot Market. Residents have plenty of restaurants and stores to choose from in close by Goodyear and Phoenix is approximately 45 minutes away.

CantaMia has been through several developer changes from the beginning.  In 2008 CantaMia’s original name was Province at Estrella, and was built by Engle Homes. The models were built and the grand opening was scheduled, but they had to cancel the Grand Opening when Engle Homes filed for bankruptcy.  In 2010 Joseph Carl Homes purchased the community and the community name was changed to CantaMia at Estrella. Joseph Carl improved on the Engle homes by adding energy efficiency, green technology and included solar technology on every home. In 2011 Joseph Carl Homes merged with Avatar Homes and the clubhouse was completed.

The CantaMia community is very new, so there are very few resale homes available. New construction “spec” homes are available for quick move-in’s or you can have a home built from the ground up. There are 16 home plans to choose from that range from 1,189 to 2,852 square feet. Buyers can choose a duplex style low-maintenance townhome to larger homes with three car garages and also a casita. Lot premiums for a waterfront lot will cost an additional $60,000 – $90,000.
